2023 Crossing Borders Exhibition
The artworks in ArtsWestchester’s Crossing Borders Revisited exhibition question how borders come to define individual and group identities. The participating artists investigate the experience of immigrating and the act of remembering; each utilize their heritage and artistic practice as a way of keeping their family legacy relevant as the artist makes their own way in a contemporary time and place. This intergenerational exhibition looks at myriad ways in which residents have come to both the United States and the Hudson Valley; some calling it home and some continuously traveling between places.
My role consisted of creating all marketing assets such as; printed flyers, exhibition wall graphics, social media graphics and an artist catalog for an impactful visual experience.
The 2023 Larry Salley Photography Exhibition
The Larry Salley Photography Award 2023 Exhibition was conceived by the Salley Family, AAMW, and ArtsWestchester. The award was established in 2018 by ArtsWestchester, the African American Men of Westchester (AAMW) and the Salley family to celebrate the life and artistic achievements of Lawrence “Larry” C. Salley, an active member of the Westchester community. This exhibition showcases the 2023 award winners and finalists, along with past award recipients work. From pure abstraction, to stunning examples of photojournalism, from local landmarks, to subtle still lives, the photographs display a vibrant sense of life and the beauty of humanity’s shared experiences.
